A Lindenwood student who fled the country last month has been charged with two felonies after authorities say he severely injured another student by beating him with a baseball bat. Police said that late on April 18, at 900 Parkcrest Drive, Fazull Muhammed, 21, of Bangladesh, beat Punit Mehra, 22, of India, initially leaving him in critical condition and hospitalized.

As the cases of swine flu continue to increase, mostly in Mexico, Lindenwood University has established a new committee to deal with any outbreak on campus. University officials stress, however, that no cases have been detected and students shouldn't panic.
Delta Epsilon Chi, a Lindenwood business chapter organization, won its first award at the International Career Development Conference which took place April 21-26 in Anaheim, Calif. Chapter member Julie Allen, a Lindenwood senior, brought Lindenwood's DECA chapter their first win at the conference, placing second in the retail management category.
In an attempt to relieve the long lines that have become synonymous with the beginning of school, Lindenwood is going to offer students a chance to check in early for the Fall 2009 semester. Early check-in will run from July 20-24. "When people come to early check-in they can take care of everything…then (on move in day) go to the RD with the check-in slip and go directly to their room," said Ryan Guffey, assistant VP of Student Development.
