The internet has given us many new cool things, but now it looks like it's given us a new breed of psychopaths. Everybody's heard of the Son of Sam, Jack the Ripper, and the Boston Strangler. Well, earlier this month we were introduced to a new brand of murderer: the Craigslist killer.
In less than four days, Mexico ran out of face masks. In less than three days, schools in Texas closed after the death of a toddler. In less than two days, the number of infected states in the U.S. doubled. There are now 10 states with confirmed cases of the swine flu, or H1N1 Influenza A.
I have always been averse to new fads, and the faster they come the more I run. However, this newest online craze has me more confused than usual. I understand that Twitter is fun for connecting to friends and staying current, and following celebrities is cool too.
